Shri Radhe Guru Maa - Diwali Festival special - Tibetan Diwali

The Lamp Festival of Jiuzhaigou, China, or the Butter Lamp Festival marks the passing of Tsongkhapa, a great Buddhist reformer and monk of Tibetan origin. On this day, every temple dedicated to the Tsongkhapa's sect and every villager chants sacred sutras.

Devotees place lamps at the altar of Lord Buddha and outside the monastery. Devotees wear their best clothes, have horse riding competitions and participate in a ceremony where they offer flags printed with lions, tigers and dragons to the sky, dance, and drink.
