The
Chinese Kali temple situated in the Tangra neighbourhood of Kolkata's
Chinatown was built by Chinese devotees of Maa Kali who have lived in
the city for centuries where they run restaurants, shoe shops, beauty
parlours and other small businesses.
The devotees lovingly serve noddles, fried rice, and
chopsuey as prasad to the Devi and also distribute it as prasad. The
temple is very popular and the Chinese of Indian origin who have settled
in all parts of the world visit it every year for Kali puja.
May Maa Kali of the Chinese Kali temple of Kolkata bless us all.
