माँ दुर्गा के 9 रूप हैं जिनकी कहानियाँ आप इस पोस्ट में पढ़ सकते हैं –

शैलपुत्री Shailaputri

शैलपुत्री देवी दुर्गा का प्रथम रूप है। वह पर्वतों के राजा – हिमालय की पुत्री हैं। राजा हिमालय और उनकी पत्नी मेनाका ने कई तपस्या की जिसके फल स्वरुप माता दुर्गा उनकी पुत्री के रूप में पृथ्वी पर उतरी। तभी उनका नाम शैलपुत्री रखा गया यानी (शैल = पर्वत और पुत्री = बेटी)। माता शैलपुत्री का वाहन है बैल तथा उनके दायें हाँथ में होता है त्रिशूल और बाएं हाँथ में होता है कमल का फूल।

दक्ष यज्ञ में पवित्र माँ ने सती के रूप में अपने शरीर को त्याग दिया। उसके पश्चात माँ दोबारा भगवान शिव जी की दिव्य पत्नी बनी। उनकी कहानी बहुत ही प्रेरणा देती है।

ब्रह्मचारिणी Brahmacharini

(ब्रह्म = तपस्या), माता दुर्गा इस रूप में वह अपने दायें हाथ में एक जप माला पकड़ी रहती है और बाएं हाथ में एक कमंडल। नारद मुनि के सलाह देंने पर माता ब्रह्मचारिणी ने शिवजी को पाने के लिए कठोर तपस्या किया। पवित्र माता में बहुत ही ज्यादा शक्ति है।

मुक्ति प्राप्त करने के लिए माता शक्ति ने ब्रह्म ज्ञान को ज्ञात किया और उसी कारण से उनको ब्रह्मचारिणी के नाम से पूजा जाता है। माता अपने भक्तों को सर्वोच्च पवित्र ज्ञान प्रदान करती हैं।

चन्द्रघंटा Chandraganta

यह माता दुर्गा का तीसरा रूप है। चंद्र यानी की चंद्र की रोशनी। यह परम शांति प्रदान करने वाला माँ का रूप है। मा की आराधना करने से सुख शांति मिलता है। वह तेज़ स्वर्ण के समान होता है और उनका वाहन सिंह होता है। उनके दस हाँथ हैं और कई प्रकार के अस्त्र -शस्त्र जैसे कडग, बांड, त्रिशूल, पद्म फूल उनके हांथों में होते हैं।

माँ चन्द्रघंटा की पूजा आराधना करने से पाप और मुश्किलें दूर होती हैं उनकी घाटियों की भयानक आवाज़ से राक्षस भाग खड़े होते हैं।

कुष्मांडा Kushmanda

कुष्मांडा माता दुर्गा का चौथा रूप है। जब पृथ्वी पर कुछ नहीं था और हर जगह अंधकार ही अंधकार था तब माता कुष्मांडा ने सृष्टि को जन्म दिया। उस समय माता सूर्य लोक में रहती थी। ऊर्जा का सृजन भी उन्ही ने सृष्टि में किया। 

माता कुष्मांडा के आठ हाँथ होते हैं इसलिए उन्हें अष्टभुजा देवी के नाम से भी जाना जाता है। उनका वाहन सिंह है और माता के हांथों मैं कमंडल, चक्र, कमल का फूल, अमृत मटका, और जप माला होते हैं।

माता कुष्मांडा शुद्धता की देवी हैं, उनकी पूजा करने से सभी रोग और दुख-कष्ट दूर होते हैं।

स्कंदमाता Skandamata

स्कंदमाता माता दुर्गा का पांचवा रूप है। माँ दुर्गा ने देवताओं को सही मढ़ और आशीर्वाद देने के लिए भगवान् शिव से विवाह किया। असुरों और देवताओं के युद्ध होने के दौरान देवताओं को अपना एक मार्ग दर्शक नेता की जरूरत थी। शिव पारवती जी के पुत्र कार्तिक जिन्हें स्कंद भी कहा जाता है देवताओं के नेता बने।

कार्तिक/स्कंदा को माता पारवती माता अपने गोद में बैठा के रखती हैं अपने वाहन सिंह पर बैठे हुए इसलिए उन्हें स्कंदमाता के नाम से पूजा जाता है।उनके 4 भुजाएं हैं, ऊपर के हाथ में माता कमल का फूल पकड़ी रहती है और नीचे के एक हाथ से माँ वरदान देती हैं और दुसरे से कार्तिक को पकड़ी रखती है।

स्कंदमाता के पूजा से भक्तों के सभी इच्छाओं की पूर्ति होती है।

कात्यायनी Katyayani

माँ कात्यायनी, दुर्गा माता के छटवां रूप हैं। महर्षि कात्यायना एक महान ज्ञानी थे जो अपने आश्रम में कठोर तपस्या कर रहे थे ताकि महिषासुर का अंत हो सके। एक दिन भगवान ब्रह्मा,विष्णु, और महेश्वर एक साथ उनके समक्ष प्रकट हुए। तीनो त्रिमूर्ति ने मिलकर अपनी शक्ति से माता दुर्गा को प्रकट किया। यह आश्विन महीने के 14वें दिन पूर्ण रात्रि के समय हुआ।

महर्षि कात्यायना वह पहले व्यक्ति थे जिन्होंने माता दुर्गा की पूजा की थी इसलिए माता दुर्गा का नाम माँ कात्यायनी कहा जाता है और आश्विन माह के पूर्ण उज्वाल रात्रि सातवें, आठवें और नौवे दिन नवरात्री का त्यौहार मनाया जाता है। दसवें दिन को महिषासुर का अंत मानया जाता है।

माता कात्यायनी को शुद्धता की देवी माना जाता है। माता कात्यायनी के चार हाथ हैं, उनके उपरी दाहिने हाथ में वह मुद्रा प्रदर्शित करती हैं जो डर से मुक्ति देता है, और उनके नीचले दाहिने हाथ में वह आशीर्वाद मुद्रा, उपरी बाएं हाथ में वह तलवार और नीचले बाएं में कमल का फूल रखती है। उनकी पूजा आराधना करने से धन-धन्य और मुक्ति मिलती है।

कालरात्रि Kalaraatri

माँ कालरात्रि, दुर्गा का सातवां रूप हैं। उनका नाम काल रात्रि इसलिए है क्योंकि वह काल का भी विनाश हैं। वह सब कुछ विनाश कर सकती हैं। कालरात्रि का अर्थ है अन्धकार की रात। उनका रैंड काला होता है उनके बाद बिखरे और उड़ते हुए होते हैं। उनका शरीर अग्नि के सामान तेज़ होता है।

उनका वहां गधा है और उनके ऊपर दायिने हाथ में वह आशीर्वाद देती मुद्रा में होती हैं और निचले दायिने हाथ में माँ निडरता प्रदान करती है। उनके ऊपर बाएं हाथ में गदा और निचले बाएं हाथ में लोहे की कटार रखती हैं।

उनका प्रचंड रूप बहुत भयानक है परन्तु वह अपने भक्तों की हमेशा मदद करती है इसलिए उनका एक और नाम है भायांकारी भी है। उनकी पूजा करने से भूत, सांप, आग, बाढ़ और भयानक जानवरों के भय से मुक्ति मिलती है।

महागौरी Maha Gauri

माँ दुर्गा का आठवां रूप है महागौरी। देवी पारवती का रंग सावला था और इसी कारन महादेव शिवजी उन्हें कालिके के नाम से पुकारा करते थे। बाद में माता पार्वती ने तपस्या किया जिसके कारन शिवजी प्रसन्न हुए और उन्होंने गंगा के पानीको माता पारवती के ऊपर डाल कर उन्हें गोरा रंग दिया। तब से माता पारवती को महागौरी के नाम से पूजा जाने लगा।

उनका वाहन बैल है और उनके उपरी दाहिने हाथ से माँ आशीर्वाद वरदान देती है, और निचले दायिने हाथ में त्रिशूल रखती है। उपरी बाएं हाथ में उनके डमरू होता है और निचले हाथ से वह वरदान और अशोर्वाद देती हैं।

महागौरी की पूजा आराधना करने वाले भक्तों को भ्रम से मुक्ति, जीवन में दुख कष्ट का अंत होता है।

सिद्धिदात्री Siddhidaatri

माता दुर्गा के नौवे रूप का नाम सिद्धिदात्री है। उनका ना ऐसा इसलिए है क्योंकि उन्हें सिद्धि प्रदान करने की माता कहा जाता है। माता सिद्धिदात्री के अनुकम्पा सेही शिवजी को अर्धानारिश्वार का रूप मिला। उनका वाहन सिंह है और उनका आसन है कमल का फूल।

उनके उपरी दायिने हाथ में माता एक गदा और निचले दायिने हाथ में चक्रम रखती है। माता अपने उपरी बाएं हाथ में एक कमल का फूल और निचले बाएं हाथ में एक शंख रखती हैं। माता सिद्धिदात्री अपने भक्तों की सभी मनोस्कम्नाओं की सिद्धि देती हैं।

क्यों भगवान विष्णु के चरणों के निकट विराजती हैं देवी लक्ष्मी

पति को परमेश्वर का स्थान

हिन्दू धर्म में पति को परमेश्वर का स्थान दिया गया है। रूढ़िवादी समाज का मानना है कि पति के सेवा में ही स्त्री का स्वर्ग है और अपने इस कथन को आधार देने के लिए वे माता लक्ष्मी का उदाहरण देते हैं, जिन्हें हमेशा अपने पति भगवान विष्णु के चरणों के निकट बैठा हुआ ही दिखाया गया है।

देवी लक्ष्मी और भगवान विष्णु

हमारे समाज का ये मानना है कि जब धन की देवी लक्ष्मी अपने पति के चरणों में अपना स्वर्ग तलाश सकती हैं तो आज की महिलाएं जो खुद को आत्मनिर्भर और आर्थिक रूप से स्वतंत्रता प्रदान कर चुकी हैं, उनके लिए पति की सेवा करना कौन सी बड़ी बात है। लेकिन क्या वाकई माता लक्ष्मी और विष्णु के चित्र को जो अवधारणा प्रदान की गई है, उसके पीछे की हकीकत वैसी ही है?

चरणों में वास

शायद नहीं, ऐसा लगता है देवी लक्ष्मी और भगवान विष्णु का चित्र हिन्दू धर्म में भ्रांति फैलाने का कार्य कर रहा है, क्योंकि जिस उद्देश्य की पूर्ति के लिए माता लक्ष्मी ने अपने पति के चरणों के निकट वास किया है वो पूरी तरह भिन्न है।

ब्रह्मांड के पालनहार

हिन्दू पौराणिक दस्तावेजों के अनुसार माता लक्ष्मी की एक बहन हैं, अलक्ष्मी। जहां देवी लक्ष्मी, धन, सौभाग्य और वैभव की देवी हैं वहीं अलक्ष्मी, दरिद्रता, निर्धनता आदि का प्रतीक कही जाती हैं। विष्णु को पालनहार कहा जाता है, जिनका दायित्व घर-परिवार समेत समस्त ब्रह्मांड की रक्षा करना है और देवी लक्ष्मी इन्हीं पालनहार को दरिद्रता और दुर्भाग्य से बचाने के लिए उनके चरणों में बैठी हैं।

उल्लू का स्वरूप

अलक्ष्मी, लक्ष्मी देवी की बड़ी बहन हैं। बेहद कुरूप होने की वजह से उनका विवाह भी नहीं हो पाया। कहा जाता है कि जहां-जहां देवी लक्ष्मी जाती हैं, अलक्ष्मी उनके पीछे-पीछे वहां पहुंचती हैं। कभी अपने स्वरूप में तो कभी देवी लक्ष्मी की सवारी उल्लू के स्वरूप में।

ईर्ष्यालु बहन

अलक्ष्मी अपनी बहन लक्ष्मी से बेहद ईर्ष्या रखती हैं। वह बिल्कुल भी आकर्षक नहीं हैं, उनकी आंखें भड़कीली, बाल फैले हुए और बड़े-बड़े दांत हैं। यहां तक कि जब भी देवी लक्ष्मी अपने पति के साथ होती हैं, अलक्ष्मी वहां भी उन दोनों के साथ पहुंच जाती हैं।

देवी लक्ष्मी का क्रोध

पौराणिक मान्यतानुसार, अपनी बहन का ये बर्ताव देवी लक्ष्मी को बिल्कुल पसंद नहीं आया। उन्होंने अलक्ष्मी से पूछा “तुम मुझे और मेरे पति को अकेला क्यों नहीं छोड़ देती? तुम क्यों मेरे पति के समीप जाना चाहती हो?”

अलक्ष्मी का जवाब

इस पर अलक्ष्मी ने जवाब दिया “मेरे पास पति नहीं है और कोई भी मेरी आराधना नहीं करता, इसलिए जहां-जहां तुम जाओगी, मैं तुम्हारे साथ रहूंगी”।

श्राप

इस पर देवी लक्ष्मी अत्यंत क्रोधित हो गईं और क्रोध के आवेग में उन्होंने अलक्ष्मी को श्राप दिया “मृत्यु के देवता तुम्हारे पति हैं और जहां भी गंदगी, ईर्ष्या, लालच, आलस, रोष और अस्वच्छता रहेगी, तुम वहीं रहोगी”।

गंदगी पर वास

इस प्रकार भगवान विष्णु और अपने पति के चरणों में बैठकर माता लक्ष्मी उनके चरणों की गंदगी को दूर करती हैं, ताकि अलक्ष्मी उनके निकट भी ना सकें। यहां माता लक्ष्मी एक देवी नहीं बल्कि एक पत्नी की भूमिका में हैं, जो अपने पति को पराई स्त्री से दूर रखने की हर संभव कोशिश कर रही हैं।

प्रतीकात्मक ग्रंथ

इस तरह देखा जाए तो हिन्दू पौराणिक इतिहास जितना स्पष्ट है उतना ही ज्यादा प्रतीकात्मक भी। इन प्रतीकों को हम अपनी-अपनी सहूलियत के अनुसार परिभाषित कर लेते हैं। यहां देवी लक्ष्मी, अलक्ष्मी और भगवान विष्णु की कहानी को सौभाग्य और दुर्भाग्य के साथ जोड़ा गया है।

सौभाग्य और दुर्भाग्य

माना जाता है सौभाग्य और दुर्भाग्य एक साथ चलते हैं और एक ही साथ पहुंचते हैं। जब आपके ऊपर सौभाग्य की वर्षा होती है तब दुर्भाग्य भी निकट बैठे हुए अपने लिए एक अवसर की तलाश कर रहा होता है।

अलक्ष्मी का उद्देश्य

अलक्ष्मी भी कुछ इसी तरह घर के बाहर बैठकर लक्ष्मी के जाने का इंतजार करती हैं कि वो जाएं तो अलक्ष्मी को घर के भीतर आने का मौका मिले।

अलक्ष्मी का प्रवेश

जहां भी गंदगी मौजूद होती है वहां लालच, ईर्ष्या, पति-पत्नी के झगड़े, अश्लीलता, क्लेश और कलह का वातावरण बन जाता है, जो कि अलक्ष्मी के प्रवेश की निशानी है।

सफाई का महत्व

अलक्ष्मी को दूर रखने और लक्ष्मी को आमंत्रित करने के लिए हिन्दू धर्म से जुड़े प्रत्येक घर में सफाई के साथ-साथ नित्य पूजा-पाठ और अगबत्ती का धुआं किया जाता है, ताकि घर और घर के लोगों को किसी भी प्रकार की नकारात्मकता और दुर्भाग्य से दूर रखा जा सके।

आइये जाने मां दुर्गा की उत्‍पत्ति की कहानी | Maa-durga-kahani-in-Hindi

हिंदू धर्म में मां दुर्गा की आराधना के लिए विशेष रूप से नवरात्रि का त्‍यौहार मनाया जाता है। इस त्‍यौहार को साल में दो बार मनाया जाता है। मां दुर्गा को कई नामों जैसे- काली, पार्वती, गौरी, सती, महामाया और महिषासुर मर्दिनी के नाम से जाना जाता है। मां दुर्गा के रूप पार्वती को भगवान शिव की अर्धांगनी माना जाता है। मां दुर्गा की उत्‍पत्ति की गाथा कुछ इस प्रकार है: नवरात्री में आरती की थाली ऐसे सजाएं

एक बार की बात है, एक भैंसा दानव था, जिसे महिषासुर के नाम से जाना जाता था, जो बड़ा शक्तिशाली था। वह सभी देवताओं का वध करना चाहता था, ताकि वह संसार में सर्वोच्‍च हो सकें। इससे घबराकर सभी देवता, सृष्टि के रचयिता भगवान ब्रहम् के पास गए और अपनी बात कही। तब सभी ने सर्वसम्‍मत्ति से अपनी शक्तियों से मिलाकर देवी दुर्गा का सृजन किया।

देवी दुर्गा का सृजन सभी की शक्तियों को मिलाने से ही संभव था ताकि महिषासुर का वध किया जा सकें। मां देवी दुर्गा का स्‍वरूप, बेहद आकर्षक है, उनके मुख में सौम्‍यता और स्‍नेह झलकता है। उनके दस हाथ हैं, जिसमें हर एक में एक विशेष शस्‍त्र है। उन्‍हे हर भगवान और देवता ने कुछ न कुछ अवश्‍य दिया था, भगवान शिव ने त्रिशुल, भगवान विष्‍णु ने चक्र, भगवान वायु ने तीर आदि। देखिये दुर्गा पूजा की बेहतरीन तस्‍वीरे मां के कपड़े और सवारी: मां दुर्गा की सवारी शेर है, जो हिमावंत पर्वत से लाया गया था। इस प्रकार देवी दुर्गा को महिषासुर का वध करने के लिए बनाया गया। बाद में देवी दुर्गा ने महिषासुर को मार डाला। इस स्‍वरूप को आप अक्‍सर तस्‍वीरों और मूर्तियों में देख सकते हैं। महिषासुर को देवी दुर्गा ने अपने शेर और शस्‍त्रों से मार डाला। इस प्रकार मां दुर्गा, आज भी बुरी बाधाओं का वध करने के लिए पूजी जाती हैं। साल में चैत्र माह की नवरात्रि मुख्‍य होती है।

कुबेर को आज ही के दिन खजाना मिला था ।

सतयुग और त्रेता युग का प्रारम्भ आज ही के दिन हुआ था ।

ब्रह्मा जी के पुत्र अक्षय कुमार का अवतरण भी आज ही के दिन हुआ था ।

प्रसिद्ध तीर्थ स्थल श्री बद्री नारायण जी का कपाट आज ही के दिन खोला जाता है ।

बृंदावन के बाँके बिहारी मंदिर में साल में केवल आज ही के दिन श्री विग्रह चरण के दर्शन होते है अन्यथा साल भर वो बस्त्र से ढके रहते है ।

इसी दिन महाभारत का युद्ध समाप्त हुआ था ।

अक्षय तृतीया अपने आप में स्वयं सिद्ध मुहूर्त है कोई भी शुभ कार्य का प्रारम्भ किया जा सकता है

Jai Bolo Mata Mookambika ki!

Kaumasura undertook sadhana and was granted a boon by Lord Shiva. However the Goddess of speech knew that the boon would make the cruel demon even more destructive. She took away his power of speech. As he was struck mooka, the demon came to be known as mookasura, and the Goddess who went on to kill the demon came to be known as Mookambika. 

The spot where the demon was killed is called Maraa Katte in Udipi, Karnataka. Much of the leela unfolded at the place where the Mookambika temple stands today in Kollur in Karnataka.

A Saraswati Temple in Muslim majority Indonesia

Pura Taman Saraswati temple is dedicated to Devi Saraswati (spelled Dewi Saraswati by the Balinese), the goddess of learning, literature. It is located on the island of Bali, which has an overwhelming Hindu majority in Indonesia, one of the largest Muslim countries in the world.


Balinese Hindu children pray to Mother Saraswati to bless them with knowledge.

Bolo Mata Bala Tripurasundari ji ki Jai

Bala Tripurasundari, often referred to as Bala, is the nine-year-old daughter of Mata Lalita, who is worshipped as the manifestation of Para Brahman in the Lalita Sahasranama.

As the Devi faught the daitya Bhanda, her nine year old daughter insisted that she be allowed to attack Bhanda's sons who were attacking the divine army. Nine-year-old was given permission following which she killed all the sons of Bhanda.

Kali maa is the Hindu goddess of creation, preservation, and destruction

Kali Ma is known as the preserve of Earth, but due to her destructive powers she is also known as “Dark Mother”. The name Kali means She, who is Beyond Time. She is considered as a berserk form of Durga/Parvati, who is consort of Lord Shiva. Kali Ma is simultaneously portrayed as the giver and destructor of life. However, in most of the interpretations she is portrayed as ferocious and evil. She is the mother of the world and the treasure-house of compassion. She is considered as the primordial mass from which all life arouse.

Kali is the Hindu Goddess who removes the ego and liberates the soul from the cycle of birth and death. She brings the death of the ego as the illusory self-centered view of reality.
