शिव का गृहस्थ-जीवन उपदेश |

एक बार पार्वती जी भगवान शंकर जी के साथ सत्संग कर रही थीं। उन्होंने भगवान भोलेनाथ से पूछा, गृहस्थ लोगों का कल्याण किस तरह हो सकता है?

शंकर जी ने बताया, सच बोलना, सभी प्राणियों पर दया करना, मन एवं इंद्रियों पर संयम रखना तथा सामर्थ्य के अनुसार सेवा-परोपकार करना कल्याण के साधन हैं। जो व्यक्ति अपने माता-पिता एवं बुजुर्गों की सेवा करता है, जो शील एवं सदाचार से संपन्न है, जो अतिथियों की सेवा को तत्पर रहता है, जो क्षमाशील है और जिसने धर्मपूर्वक धन का उपार्जन किया है, ऐसे गृहस्थ पर सभी देवता, ऋषि एवं महर्षि प्रसन्न रहते हैं।

भगवान शिव ने आगे उन्हें बताया, जो दूसरों के धन पर लालच नहीं रखता, जो पराई स्त्री को वासना की नजर से नहीं देखता, जो झूठ नहीं बोलता, जो किसी की निंदा-चुगली नहीं करता और सबके प्रति मैत्री और दया भाव रखता है, जो सौम्य वाणी बोलता है और स्वेच्छाचार से दूर रहता है, ऐसा आदर्श व्यक्ति स्वर्गगामी होता है।

भगवान शिव ने माता पार्वती को आगे बताया कि मनुष्य को जीवन में सदा शुभ कर्म ही करते रहना चाहिए। शुभ कर्मों का शुभ फल प्राप्त होता है और शुभ प्रारब्ध बनता है। मनुष्य जैसा कर्म करता है, वैसा ही प्रारब्ध बनता है। प्रारब्ध अत्यंत बलवान होता है, उसी के अनुसार जीव भोग करता है। प्राणी भले ही प्रमाद में पड़कर सो जाए, परंतु उसका प्रारब्ध सदैव जागता रहता है। इसलिए हमेशा सत्कर्म करते रहना चाहिए।

भगवान शिव के गण वीरभद्र की उत्पत्ति कैसे हुई, जानिए रहस्य |

भगवान शिव की सुरक्षा और उनके आदेश को मानने के लिए उनके गण सदैव तत्पर रहते हैं। उनके गणों में भैरव को सबसे प्रमुख माना जाता है। उसके बाद नंदी का नंबर आता और फिर वीरभ्रद्र। जहां भी शिव मंदिर स्थापित होता है, वहां रक्षक (कोतवाल) के रूप में भैरवजी की प्रतिमा भी स्थापित की जाती है। भैरव दो हैं- काल भैरव और बटुक भैरव।

शिव के प्रमुख गण थे- भैरव, वीरभद्र, मणिभद्र, चंदिस, नंदी, श्रृंगी, भृगिरिटी, शैल, गोकर्ण, घंटाकर्ण, जय और विजय। इसके अलावा, पिशाच, दैत्य और नाग-नागिन, पशुओं को भी शिव का गण माना जाता है। ये सभी गण धरती और ब्रह्मांड में विचरण करते रहते हैं और प्रत्येक मनुष्य, आत्मा आदि की खैर-खबर रखते हैं। 

वीरभद्र उत्पत्ति कथा : शिवजी के ससुर दक्ष प्रजापति ने एक विशाय यज्ञ का आयोजन किया जिसमें सभी ऋषि, मुनी, देवी और देवताओं को बुलाया था। इस यज्ञ में दक्ष ने शिव और सती को नहीं बुलाया था। माता सती अपने पति महादेव की इच्छा के विरुद्ध अपने पिता दक्ष प्रजापति के द्वारा आयोजित इस यज्ञ में गई थीं।

पिता का यज्ञ समझ कर सती बिना बुलाए ही पहुंच गयी, किंतु जब उसने वहां जाकर देखा कि न तो उनके पति का भाग (यज्ञ के लिए) ही निकाला गया है और न उनका सत्कार किया गया बल्कि पिता ने उनकी ओर देखा तक नहीं। अपने और अपने पति का घोर अपमान देखकर सती ने यज्ञ के भीतर ही कूदकर आत्मदाह कर दिया। यह देखर वहां हाहाकार मच गया।

भगवान शंकर को जब यह समाचार मिला तो वे क्रोधित हो गए। उन्होंने दक्ष, उसकी सेना और वहां उपस्थित उनके सभी सलाहकारों को दंड देने के लिए अपनी जटा से वीरभद्र नामक एक गण उत्पन्न किया। उत्पन्न होते ही वीरभद्र शिव की आज्ञा से तेजी से यज्ञ स्थल पहुंचा और उसने वहां की भूमि को रक्त से लाल कर दिया और बाद में दक्ष को पकड़कर उसका सिर धड़ से अलग कर दिया। इस घटना का वर्णन स्कंद, शिव और देवी पुराण के बाद देव संहिता में मिलता है।

बाद में ब्रह्माजी और विष्णुजी फिर कैलाश पर्वत पर गए और उन्होंने महादेव से विनयकर अपने क्रोध को शांत करने को कहा और राजा दक्ष को जीवन देकर यज्ञ को संपन्न करने का निवेदन किया। बहुत प्रार्थना करने के बाद भगवान शिव ने उनकी बात मान ली और दक्ष के धड़ से बकरे का सिर जोड़कर उसे जीवनदान दिया, जिसके बाद यह यज्ञ पूरा हुआ।

वीरभद्र मंदिर : भगवान शिव के गण वीरभद्र की दक्षिण भारत में शिवजी की तरह ही पूजा अर्चना होती है। वीरभद्र मंदिर, लेपाक्‍क्षी गांव में स्थित है। यह मंदिर, दक्षिण भारत में काफी विख्‍यात है और यहां सारे देश से दर्शनार्थी दर्शन करने आते है। इस मंदिर में भगवान वीरभद्र की पूजा की जाती है। वीरभद्र मंदिर को 16 वीं शताब्‍दी में विजयनगर के राजा के द्वारा बनवाया गया था।

भगवान शिव को बेल पत्र परमप्रिय क्यों है?

भगवान शिव को बेल पत्र परमप्रिय है। यह बात तो सभी को पता है लेकिन क्या आप जानते हैं भगवान शिव के अंशावतार हनुमान जी को भी बेल पत्र अर्पित करने से प्रसन्न किया जा सकता है और लक्ष्मी का वर पाया जा सकता है। घर की धन-दौलत में वृद्धि होने लगती है। अधूरी कामनाओं को पूरा करता है सावन का महीना शिव पुराण अनुसार सावन माह के सोमवार को शिवालय में बेलपत्र चढ़ाने से एक करोड़ कन्यादान के बराबर फल मिलता है। कुछ विशेष दिनों में ही प्राप्त कर सकते हैं साल भर की पूजा का फल।

भगवान शिव को बेल पत्र परमप्रिय है। यह बात तो सभी को पता है लेकिन क्या आप जानते हैं भगवान शिव के अंशावतार हनुमान जी को भी बेल पत्र अर्पित करने से प्रसन्न किया जा सकता है और लक्ष्मी बेलपत्र का चमत्कारी वृक्ष हर कामना को पूरी करता है। यही नहीं उसके पत्तों को गंगा जल से धोकर उन्हें बजरंगबली पर अर्पित करने से मिलता है तीर्थों का फल। इसके बारे में तुलसीदास जी ने मर्यादा पुरुषोत्तम भगवान श्रीराम के मुख से कहलवाया है, 'शिवद्रोही मम दास कहावा. सो नर सपनेहु मोहि नहिं भावा.' अर्थात: जो शिव का द्रोह करके मुझे प्राप्त करना चाहता है, वह सपने में भी मुझे प्राप्त नहीं कर सकता ।

बेल के पेड़ की जरा सी जड़ सफेद धागे में पिरोकर रविवार को पहनें इससे रक्तचाप, क्रोध और असाध्य रोगों से निजात मिलेगा। बिल्व पत्र को श्री वृक्ष भी कहा जाता है। बिल्व पत्र का पूजन पाप व दरिद्रता का अंत कर वैभवशाली बनाने वाला माना गया है। घर में बेल पत्र लगाने से देवी महालक्ष्मी बहुत प्रसन्न होती हैं। इन पत्तों को लक्ष्मी का रूप माना जाता है। इन्हें अपने पास रखने से कभी धन-दौलत का अभाव नहीं होता। बिल्वपत्र या बेलपत्र भगवान शिव को बहुत प्रिय है। कहते हैं शिव को बिल्वपत्र चढ़ाने से लक्ष्मी की प्राप्ति होती है। बिल्वपत्र पेड़ की पत्तियों की खासियत यह है कि ये तीन के समूह में मिलती हैं। आगे की स्लाइड्स पर क्लिक करें और जानें बिल्व वृक्ष की इन पत्तियों का क्या है धार्मिक और औषधीय महत्व-बिल्व वृक्ष को महादेव का रूप माना जाता है। ऐसी मान्यता है कि बिल्व वृक्ष के जड़ में महादेव का वास रहता है इसलिए इस पेड़ की जड़ में महादेव की पूजा की जाती है। इतना ही नहीं, कहते हैं बिल्व वृक्ष को सींचने से सभी तीर्थों का फल मिल जाता है।हालांकि बिल्वपत्र को हमेशा नहीं तोड़ सकते।

- शिव उपासना के प्रमुख दिन सोमवार को बिल्वपत्र नहीं तोड़ना चाहिए।

- चतुर्थी, अष्टमी, नवमी, चतुर्दशी और अमावस्या को बिल्वपत्र नहीं तोडऩा चाहिए।

- किसी माह में संक्राति के दिन भी बिल्वपत्र तोड़ना उचित नहीं है।अगर इन तिथियों में शिवपूजा में बिल्वपत्र की आवश्यकता हो तो उसके लिए यह नियम है कि आप शिव पूजा में उपयोग किए गए बिल्वपत्र को फिर से धोकर शिव को अर्पित कर सकते हैं।

पूजा में महत्व- बिल्व वृक्ष या बेल का पेड़ हमारे लिए एक उपयोगी वनस्पति है जो हमारे कष्टों को दूर करता है। भगवान शिव को बिल्व वृक्ष की पत्तियां चढ़ाने का अर्थ यह होता है कि जीवन में हम भी लोगों के संकट में उनके काम आएं। दूसरों के दुख के समय काम आने वाला व्यक्ति या वस्तु भगवान शिव को प्रिय है।औषधीय गुण- बिल्वपत्र का सेवन, त्रिदोष यानी वात (वायु), पित्त (ताप), कफ (शीत) व पाचन क्रिया के दोषों से पैदा बीमारियों से रक्षा करता है। यह त्वचा रोग और डायबिटीज के बुरे प्रभाव बढ़ने से भी रोकता है व तन के साथ मन को भी चुस्त-दुरुस्त रखता है।

बेलपत्र और समीपत्र भगवान शिव को भक्त प्रसन्न करने के लिए बेलपत्र और समीपत्र चढ़ाते हैं। इस संबंध में एक पौराणिक कथा के अनुसार जब 89 हजार ऋषियों ने महादेव को प्रसन्न करने की विधि परम पिता ब्रह्मा से पूछी तो ब्रह्मदेव ने बताया कि महादेव सौ कमल चढ़ाने से जितने प्रसन्न होते हैं, उतना ही एक नीलकमल चढ़ाने पर होते हैं। ऐसे ही एक हजार नीलकमल के बराबर एक बेलपत्र और एक हजार बेलपत्र चढ़ाने के फल के बराबर एक समीपत्र का महत्व होता है।

बेलपत्र ने दिलाया वरदान; बेलपत्र महादेव को प्रसन्न करने का सुलभ माध्यम है। बेलपत्र के महत्व में एक पौराणिक कथा के अनुसार एक भील डाकू परिवार का पालन-पोषण करने के लिए लोगों को लूटा करता था। सावन महीने में एक दिन डाकू जंगल में राहगीरों को लूटने के इरादे से गया। एक पूरा दिन-रात बीत जाने के बाद भी कोई शिकार नहीं मिलने से डाकू काफी परेशान हो गया। इस दौरान डाकू जिस पेड़ पर छुपकर बैठा था, वह बेल का पेड़ था और परेशान डाकू पेड़ से पत्तों को तोड़कर नीचे फेंक रहा था। डाकू के सामने अचानक महादेव प्रकट हुए और वरदान माँगने को कहा। अचानक हुई शिव कृपा जानने पर डाकू को पता चला कि जहाँ वह बेलपत्र फेंक रहा था उसके नीचे शिवलिंग स्थापित है।

A Lord Shiva temple in Muscat

Merchants from Gujarat have settled in Muscat for centuries where they traded in pearls. Over a century ago, some merchants decided to built a temple of Lord Shiva in 
Muscat with the support of the local ruler.

The Motishwar Mahadev Temple is home to Lord Shiva as the Lord of Pearl or Motishwar.

Mahashivaratri the night of the cosmic dance

Babulnath Temple

300 years ago, a cowheard called Babul informed Pandurang the landlord who owned land at the location that is today called Malabar Hill that a particular cow would pour the milk at a particular spot till her teats were empty.

Pandurang had the spot digged and discovered a self-formed (swayambhu) Shivling. That Shivling is today worshipped as Babul Nath or the Lord of Babul.

|| Murudeshwar Temple in Karnataka ||

Murudeshwar is another name of the Hindu god Shiva.

The Murudeshwar beach has two beautiful temples with majestic statues. This small and beautiful town is famous for the world’s second-tallest Lord Shiva statue and Murudeshwar Temple that has a 20-storey high Gopura guarded by two life-size concrete elephants at the steps leading inside the temple.

Lord Harihara

Lord Harihara is the name of a combined deity form of both Vishnu (Hari) and Shiva (Hara) from the Hindu tradition. Also known as Shankaranarayana 

Harihara is thus worshipped by both Vaishnavites and Shaivities as a form of the Supreme God.
