Powerful Lord Hanuman temple in Ashoka Vatika, Sri Lanka

We wish all devotees of Shri Sita-Rama and a blessed Hanuman Jayanti!

Lord Hanuman is present at every place where the glory of Lord Rama is sung. Not surprisingly, he is also present at the spot in Sri Lanka where Mata Sita was kept by Ravana, the demon king. A Hindu temple called "Seeta Kovil" or Hanuman Kovil marks the spot where Lord Hanuman first contacted Mata Sita in Ashoka Vatika.

The temple is located near the city of Nuwara Eliya and is revered by local Hindus. Where there is Mata Sita, Lord Maryada Purshottam Rama is also present and where there is Lord Rama, can his servant Hanuman be far behind. Now wonder Valmiki's Ramayan advises devotees to "Bow down to Hanumān, who is the slayer of demons, and who is present with head bowed and eyes full of flowing tears wherever the glory of Rama is sung."

May Lord Hanuman of Sita Kovil of Sri Lanka bless us with devotion for the lotus feet of Lord Rama who alone is the refuge of the universe!
