The
eight-centuries old Karmanghat Hanuman temple in the Ranga Reddy
district of Andhra Pradesh attracts thousands of devotees everyday.
Local belief has it that after conquering
Golconda, Aurangzeb came down to destroy this temple but could not enter
as he was stopped by an irresistible force too could not enter the
temple and he heard a voice that said “If you want to enter this temple,
make your heart stronger(Karo-man-ghat)”. Thus the place came to be
called Karmanghat.
