Masaru- Japanese Hanuman |
Masaru,
the monkey protector of the Hie Shrine in Japan is revered as the
queller of demons, devils and evil forces just like Lord Hanuman.
Hanuman
is the protector of the gate to Sri Ram's palace and no one can go
through that gate without satisfying Hanuman who will not let anyone
undeserving enter. Masaru is also the protector of the Hie shrine and
protects it from all evil influences and forces.
Just
as Hindus associate the colour orange or red with Hanuman, Masaru is
associated with the colour red, which is considered auspicious by the
Japanese.
