It is the spot where Lord Vishnu incarnated as the two munis Nara and Narayana. It is also the sacred site where Lord Narada, the celestial messenger and devotee of the Lord is said to be meditating to this day on the lotus feet of the Blue-bodied One.
Lord Badrinath is the granter of all four purusharthas! The Gadhwal Rifles a much decorated regiment of the Indian Army attacks with the battle cry, "Badri vishal Lal ki Jai!".
