Swami Ram and the Miracle of Sadashiva

Maa Bhagwati
Pt. Naraindas Raina and his wife Smt. Arnyamali wanted another son. Their elder son was 18 when they sought the blessings of their guru Swami Ram, a great Shiva master. Swami ji gave Shrimati Aryanmali an almond to eat.

Shortly, Shrimati Aryanmali conceived. When the son was born and Swami Ram heard the good news, he shouted with joy, "I am Ram. Let him be called Lakshman."

Swami also announced that Lakshman was a great yogi who would reach the highest stage in this birth. The child grew to become Swami  Lakshman Joo (9 May 1907 – 27 September 1991), the great devotee of Shiva and Maa Bhagwati and a great master of Kashmiri Shaivism.

Swami Laksman Joo lived a life of purity, simplicity and gave the knowledge of the Shaiva Shastras free to anyone who sought knowledge. He influenced several scholars across India and the world with his scholarly writings.

May Sadashiva, who reveals his light on this plane through perfect masters like Shri Lakshman Joo, keep us in his all-transforming light!

Shri Radhe Maa - Mata Shabari & the secret of bhakti

Lord Ram and Shabari

When Lord Rama ate the berries that had been tasted by Shabari, Lakshman was incensed at her impudence. How dare she offer the Lord food that had been tasted by another. Lakshman even when he was angry was upset because his love for the Lord was pure. Because it was pure Lord Rama accepted that anger as he would a gift.
And he knew the sentiment behind Shabari's offering of berries that had been tasted by her and accepted that too.

This tells us that the Lord is served both with a sense of devotion that will not accept anything but the best for the Lord and also by berries that are not pure in the worldly sense. What he accepts is the bhava with which we offer what we do to him.

May Shri Ragunandana, the Lord and master of Mata Shabari, bless us with a longing for his lotus feet, which destroy all sins

African Hindus of Cape Coast enact Ramleela on 31 December

Hinduism is the fastest spreading religion in Ghana under the leadership of Swami Ghananda Saraswati who is a monk of the Shankarachrya order, and is an African like most Hindus of Ghana.

The Hindus are mostly converts from Christianity who have embraced Sanatana Dharma on their own without any active effort on part of the Swami or his followers!

May Shri Sita- Rama and Lord Hanuman protect and shower their blessings on Ghanian Hindu devotees!!!

A Muslim king who honours Lord Rama

Kakawin Ramayana is the Indonesian version of the Ramayana and is derived from the Tamil Kamba Ramayana, which in turn is based on the Ramayana of Maharishi Valmiki.

The king of Jogjakarta, Indonesia, likes puppet shows based on the Ramayana or Mahabharata in his Palace every day. He also pays in part for the the only daily Ramayana dance ballet. All the two hundred artistes are Muslims, including their king. We ask the leading actors how they perform Ramayana with such ardent involvement. The spontaneous reply is: “Islam is our religion. Ramayana is our culture.”

Shri Radhe Guru Maa - Shri Rama in Malaysia

Hikayat Seri Rama is the Malay literary adaptation of the Ramayana. The main story remains the same as the original Sanskrit version. However, in the Malay version, Lakshman is a more important character than Lord Rama, and is admired for his bravery and ability to take prompt decisions.
