Shri Radhe Guru Maa - Hanuman in Indonesia and Bali

Indonesia was ruled by Hindu dynasties from Southern India who took the Ramayana with them. And wherever there is Lord Rama, there is also his sevak Lord Hanuman. Ramayana is an integral part of Javanese, Balinese and Sundanese culture. Hindus in Indonesia revere Lord Hanuman and the Ramayana continues to be a work of tremendous spiritual guidance.

The Balinese also perform the Ram Leela which is an inseparable part of their culture.

Hanuman in Ancient Mayan Civilization

Honduras, in Central America, has ancient idols of a deity that was sacred to the Mayans. The howler monkey god is believed to be a major deity of the arts - including music - and a patron of the artisans, especially of the scribes and sculptors. The idol, much like depictions of Hanuman, holds a mace-like object in his hands and would be recognized by most Hindus as Hanuman.

What do you think?

Did you know? - Lord Hanuman in West Indies

The world’s biggest idol of Lord Hanuman outside India is at Carapichaima in Trinidad and Tobago in the West Indies.

An 85-foot Karya Siddhi Hanuman statue was consecrated at Carapichaima in Trinidad and Tobago by Ganapathy Sachchidananda, the mathadheesh of Avadhoota Dattapeetham, India.

Karya Siddhi Hanumanji’s idol is the second tallest in the world.

May Lord Karyasiddhi Hanumanji destroy all our demons outside and within us and fill us with a desire to serve Lord Rama, the refuge of all.
