ब्राह्मण पुत्र होने के बाद भी परशुराम में क्यों थे क्षत्रियों के गुण !!

भगवान परशुराम एक ब्राह्मण थे। लेकिन आचरण उनका क्षत्रियों जैसा था।ब्राह्मण पुत्र होते हुए भी परशुराम में क्षत्रियों के गुण क्यों थे.

महर्षि भृगु के पुत्र ऋचिक का विवाह राजा गाधि की पुत्री सत्यवती से हुआ था। विवाह के बाद सत्यवती ने अपने ससुर महर्षि भृगु से अपने व अपनी माता के लिए पुत्र की याचना की। तब महर्षि भृगु ने सत्यवती को दो फल दिए और कहा कि ऋतु स्नान के बाद तुम गूलर के वृक्ष का तथा तुम्हारी माता पीपल के वृक्ष का आलिंगन करने के बाद ये फल खा लेना।

किंतु सत्यवती व उनकी मां ने भूलवश इस काम में गलती कर दी। यह बात महर्षि भृगु को पता चल गई। तब उन्होंने सत्यवती से कहा कि तूने गलत वृक्ष का आलिंगन किया है। इसलिए तेरा पुत्र ब्राह्मण होने पर भी क्षत्रिय गुणों वाला रहेगा और तेरी माता का पुत्र क्षत्रिय होने पर भी ब्राह्मणों की तरह आचरण करेगा।

तब सत्यवती ने महर्षि भृगु से प्रार्थना की कि मेरा पुत्र क्षत्रिय गुणों वाला न हो भले ही मेरा पौत्र (पुत्र का पुत्र) ऐसा हो। महर्षि भृगु ने कहा कि ऐसा ही होगा। कुछ समय बाद जमदग्रि मुनि ने सत्यवती के गर्भ से जन्म लिया। इनका आचरण ऋषियों के समान ही था। इनका विवाह रेणुका से हुआ। मुनि जमदग्रि के चार पुत्र हुए। उनमें से परशुराम चौथे थे। इस प्रकार एक भूल के कारण भगवान परशुराम का स्वभाव क्षत्रियों के समान था।

ब्रह्मा जी के पुत्र अक्षय कुमार का अवतरण भी आज ही के दिन हुआ था ।

प्रसिद्ध तीर्थ स्थल श्री बद्री नारायण जी का कपाट आज ही के दिन खोला जाता है ।

बृंदावन के बाँके बिहारी मंदिर में साल में केवल आज ही के दिन श्री विग्रह चरण के दर्शन होते है अन्यथा साल भर वो बस्त्र से ढके रहते है ।

इसी दिन महाभारत का युद्ध समाप्त हुआ था ।

अक्षय तृतीया अपने आप में स्वयं सिद्ध मुहूर्त है कोई भी शुभ कार्य का प्रारम्भ किया जा सकता है

Yellamma, the mother of all

Yellama, also known as Ekvira, Renuka is the wife of Rishi Jamdagni and the mother of Lord Parshurama, an avatar of Lord Vishnu.

She is known as Ekvira to signify that she gave birth to ék'vira, 

meaning a brave person.

Her most famous temple in Maharashtra is situated in Mahur, a shakti peetha 

of great power.

Goddess of Hijras and Transexuals

Yellamma, who is also known as Renuka and as Ekvira, the mother of Lord Parshurama is honoured by the hijras as their protector. Every year, the hijras honour Yellamma, with prayers, bhog and with fasting, and walk in processions with the idol of Yellamma on their heads. Yellamma Hills in Belgaum district of Karnataka on the Maharashtra Karnataka border are visited by Hijaras across India to a Jatra of the devi in the month of February.   

May Yellamma, the refuge of the weak, marginalised and poor, our mother, bless us all with health, friends, love and abundance in the New Year ahead!
