Hanuman ji, Neem Karoli Baba and Khemua

Lord Hanuman
Khemua, a worker at Neem Karoli Baba's ashram was asked to leave by Babaji after he quarreled with workers in the kitchen. Khemua said he would only leave after Hanumanji's work was done.

Khemua was then given the task of tending to the cows and not allowed to enter the ashram. Everyday, the workers in the ashram kitchen brought him his food at the gate of the temple. One night, devotees found Babaji in his kutiya. Babaji would not eat. When they were asked, Babaji with tears in his eyes said the workers in the kitchen had forgotten to feed Khemua. He had waited for his food at the gate and no one had come.

Such is the compassion of the people of God!

May the example of Neem Karoli Baba, the most elevated among devotees of Lord Hanuman ji, bless us with compassion for all beings! Baba ji ki! Jai Hanuman Dada ki!

The photo that drew Hollywood Actress Julia Roberts to Hinduism

Famous Hollywoood Actress Julia Roberts revealed in an interview to Elle magazine in 2010 that she is a Hindu. Roberts was first drawn to Hinduism after her eyes rested on a picture of Neem Karoli Baba (Maharaj-ji), which made her study the religion, its beliefs and philosophy in some detail.

The Academy Award winner actress has starred in several blockbusters like Steel Magnolias (1989) Pretty Woman, Erin Brockovich (2000), Mystic Pizza (1988), The Pelican Brief (1993), My Best Friend's Wedding (1997), Notting Hill (1999), and Runaway Bride among others.

Roberts went on to formally embrace Hinduism in a ceremony and also accepted Hindu names for her children: Hazel became Laxmi, Phinnaeus became Ganesh and Henry became Krishna Balram.
