Narada Rishi and the leela of many Krishnas

Great Sage Narada wished to see how Lord Krishna managed his 16,000 wives found that he was present in each palace engaged in different activities. He greeted Narada in each of these palaces and also touched his feet and spoke to him on many occasions. Sage Narada understood the import of what the scriptures say about the Lord being omni-present not merely as an impersonal energy field but as a person through his countless personalities. The lucky ones like Bhakta Narada who manage to see this reality behind the veil of Maya are the highest among devotees. 

May Lord Krishna, the darling of the Gopis, the friend of Arjuna and the husband of Mata Rukmini, bless us all with a longing for service to his lotus feet!

Shri Radhe Maa - Glory of Aashadi Ekadashi

Lord Krishna once praised the Shayani Ekadashi, also known as Ashadi Ekadashi for its wonderful powers to grant one's wishes. This is the story he shared with Yudhishtir about the wonderful day.

In a bygone age, there lived a king by the name Mandata, whose kingdom suffered because there was no rain for three years. The land was parched and the cattle began to die because there was no water.

Pained by the state of affairs, the wise king approached the rishi Angiras who advised the king to observe the vow of Dev-Shayani Ekadashi. It involved chanting the names of Lord Vishnu and fasting and spending the day in prayer.

The king obeyed the rishi and the kingdom was blessed with rain.

Whoever remembers Sri Hari on the Ashadi Ekadashi, fasts on the day and chants the holy name, is relieved from all worldly pains. May Lord Vishnu, who stands on a brick on the banks of the Chandrabhaga river in Pandharpur along with Mother Rukmini, grant the wishes of all his devotees!
