The Moteshwar Mahadev Temple is located in Mutrah, Muscat, UAE, about 33 km from Seeb Airport and a stone's throw from the the palace of the Sultan/ king of Oman. The temple was built by rich Gujarati traders who have been trading in this region for the last 200 years in this desert kingdom. The temple is 150-year-old.
While the king and most of his subjects are Muslim, the rulers of this land have been extremely liberal for centuries. The temple has received uninterrupted service from Hindus for centuries now and every Shiva Ratri thousands of Hindus gather at this temple to praise the Lord.
