Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh |
Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva are present in a cave in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia, in the form of three lingas that are venerated by the local Hindus. The cave is called Goa Gajah. Goa, which is pronounced Guha, is cave in Sanskrit and Gajah is elephant.
There was a time when Indonesia, which is now a Muslim country except for the island of Bali, used to be predominantly Hindu. To this day, there are Hindu temples across the country.
Bali, however, remains staunchly Hindu and there also have been several instances of Muslims embracing Hinduism in the country.
May the three Lords - Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesha - of Guha Gajah - bless us with pride in the traditions of Sanatan Hindu Dharma!
