Guru Maa accepted invitation of citizens of Mukerian to participate in the annual Shobha Yatra on Rama Navami on April 8
Rama Navami, which falls on Tuesday, April 8 this year, marks the birth of Lord Rama to Dashratha and Queen Kaushalya of Ayodhya.
Temples
across India mark the day with feasts, flower offerings and festivity.
Mamtamai Shri Radhe Guru Maa, a guru in the Sanatan Hindu tradition, has
a special connection to Mukerian in Punjab as she spend a good part of
her early life there. It is also the place where she was first drawn to
the spiritual life.
Mamtamai Shri Radhe Guru Maa honors Hanuman who is
the ideal for all who aim to become closer to God through the path of
seva, which is bhakti in action. Guru Maa has said, "Lord Hanuman
exemplifies all that as bhakta should be. All he thinks, speaks and does
is in service of Lord Rama. May we be guided by Lord Hanuman's example
to the lotus feet of Shri Rama."
Every year on Rama Navami, citizens of Mukerian
organise a great Shobha Yatra, - in which spiritual leaders of various Hindu
sampradayas are honoured. These saints, teachers and monks are invited
to join in the procession through the city that also features decorated
idols of Hindu dieties like Brahma-Vishnu-Mahesh and Ganapati and Mata
Rani. The beautiful pujas, yagyas and ceremonies attract thousands of
devotees from across Punjab and other parts of India.
Mamtamai Shri Radhe Guru Maa's devotees have been
inviting her to Mukerian on Rama Navami to
seek her blessings and guidance. This year, Guru Maa is scheduled to be
in Mukerian and is also expected to
honor request of devotees to join the annual Shobha Yatra so that the
increasing number of devotees in Mukerian can benefit from her darshan.
