Dogra Regiment of Indian Army Pray to Mata Ambika - Shri Radhe Maa

Jwala Mata

The Dogra Regiment, an infantry unit of the Indian Army, goes to battle with the war cry "Jwala Mata Ki Jay" comprises of Dogras from Himachal and Jammu - two regions that have a strong tradition of worship of Mata Rani - the empress whose power animates existence.

In the video shared below, jawans of the Dogras regiment pray to Mata Durga at a regimental temple in North India. The Dogras have a reputation for being fierce warriors who have won three Victoria Crosses (Highest military honour given by the Britan) and one Ashoka Chakra and nine Maha vir Chakras post-independence.

May Maiyya Jwala, whose energy blesses her sons and daughters with courage in war, always smile upon her devotees, bless the brave warriors of the Dogra Regiment!
