Lord Shiva
Devotees of North Telangana are of the opinion that the Kala Bhairava shrine in Isannapalli or Ramareddy in North Telangana is only second to the famous Kalabhairava temple in Kashi. The temple has a sacred pond that has never dried in known history.

The deity is reputed to be extremely powerful and is know to fulfill desires of devotees who travel long distances to worship shri Kalabhairava in this temple. Those believed to be possesed or suffering from mental ailments are believed to find relief on bathing in the pond.

Jai Bolo Madhyamaheshwar Mahadev ki!

Encircled by the snow-capped Gadhwal Himalayas, Madhyamaheswar stands at the spot where the belly or madhya of Lord Shiva manifested who took the form of a bull to escape the Pandavas.

It is said that the bull was held by Bhima. Shiva had taken a form so huge that he manifested across Uttarakhand and part of Nepal. Madhmaheshwar is where his belly manifested itself and is therefore holy to all worshipers of Lord Shiva.

It is situated in the village Mansuna in the Gadhwal region of Uttarakhand and is the fourth among the five Kedars or shiva shrines that are worshipped by those who wish to do a pilgrimage of the panch-kedars.

May ever compassionate Lord Madhyamaheswar Mahadev bless us with buddhi, viveka and a desire to seek the reality beyond all appearances! Har Har Mahadev!

Shri Radhe Maa- Kalimath ke Vrati Baba ki jai ho!

Kali Maa

Vrati Baba, a tantric bhakta of Mata Kalika was revered by the Pahadis of  Garhwal, Uttarakhand, as a manifestation of the Divine Mother. In the second half of the 20th century, Vrati Baba became synonymous with the ancient Kalimath shrine, which holds the yagya kund where Lord Shiva and Parvati were married.

Maa Kali is present in this sacred and stunningly beautiful Himalayan site with Mata Mahalakshmi and Mata Saraswati.

On November 10, 2000 Vrati Baba declared that he was leaving his body.

Vrati Baba meditated at Kali Shila, which is the spot where the sanskrit poet Kalidasa, was blessed with the gift of poetry by Mahakalika.

Shri Radhe Maa - Jai Mata Bhudevi Andal ki!

Lord Ranganatha

A Brahmin named Vishnuchitta found an infant girl under a Tulasi tree and decided to bring her up as his own. He named her Goda, which in Tamil means "gift of Mother Earth" He was a devotee of Lord Vishnu. Once he prepared a garland for the Lord but when he looked for it a short while later he could not find it.

The garland was found on Goda's neck. This upset her father who reprimanded her for her insolence. He strung a fresh garland and offered it to the lord. Later that night the Lord appeared to the Brahmin and told his that her preferred garlands worn by Goda.

Moved, the Brahmin renamed Goda "Andal" which means "the girl who ruled over the Lord". Andal grew up to be a beautiful girl. Her father wanted her to marry but Andal said she could only take Lord Ranganatha, the presiding deity of Shrirangam as her husband.

Andal is credited with two works in Tamil that are alive with her love for Krishna, the darling of Gokula.

Her father reasoned with Andal but she was firm in her resolve. Her old father consulted other learned Brahmins who advised him to let the girl have her way.  She was to be  brought to the temple dressed as a bride.

Andal was brought to the temple where she merged with the Lord and became immortal in the memories of all Sri Vaishnavas of the South.

May Mata Andal's personal example inspire the love of the blued skinned lord in our hearts!
