Shri Chaithanyananda Saraswati, a teacher of ancient Sri Vidya, the ancient science of Goddess worship runs the Sri Rajarajeshwari Peetham located in Rush, a village south of Rochester, in the state of New York, USA.
Adressed as Aiya by devotees of Devi, Chaithanyananda is a disciple of nuclear physicist Sri Amrithananda, an adept of Sri Vidya.
In addition to Mata Rajarajeshwari, the Empress of the Universe, the peetham also has other deities like Lord Murugan, the Nava Grahas, Mahaganapati and Aiya keeps adding new deities to the temple all the time.
A special feature of the peetham is that devotees are allowed to touch the idols of Gods and Goddesses unlike most other temples.
