Hail Maa Balasundari of Trilokpuri!

BalaSundari
Mata Balasundari manifested herself in a bag of salt purchased by a trader Ram Das of Trilokpur, Himachal Pradesh, who has purchased the salt from Deoband Uttar Pradesh in the 16th century. Ram Das kept selling salt from the bag and yet, the bag remained full. The Goddess, who identified herself as Bhagwati Bala Sundari, appeared in the dream of the merchant and told him that she was present in the salt in the form of a pindi (cylindrical stone). Ram Dass was directed to build a temple for the goddess who also said that she was an aspect of Vaishno Devi as a little girl.

Ram Das did not have enough funds to build the temple and therefore approached the king of the land who built a grand temple to the goddess that attracts lakhs of devotees through the year. It is important to note that Deoband in Uttar Pradesh is the site of an even older Bala Sundari temple.

May Mata Lalita - the ever playful one - who manifests as Bala Sundari to revieve the love of her devotees bless us with her smile!
