Victory to Mahashakti Maa Shaptrashringi

Eight-armed Mata Shaptashringi is the combined manifestation of Mata Mahalakshmi, Mata Mahakali, and Mata Mahasaraswati. After the great Goddess killed the demons Shumbha, Nishumbha and Mahishasur, the great Devi undertook sadhana on this spot which is surrounded by Sapta Shringa or Seven Peaks, which is the reason the Goddess is called by this name.

The ancient temple is located less than 70 km from Nashik and is well connected by road. The Goddess has manifested her image of her own will. In other words the Goddess's idol is swayambhu and is therefore considered to be very powerful.

While pilgrims visit the shaktipeeth through the year, the temple is visited particularly visited during the Navratras or nine nights sacred to the Goddess when a fair is held at the temple.
