Mata
Mariamman is a form of Durga who took the form of Kali. Her temple in
Ho Chi Minh, the capital of Vietnam, was built to cater to the spiritual
needs of 50 Tamil Chettiar trading families living in the city. Over
the years thousands of Chinese and Vietnamese have benefited from the
powers of Mariamman and today the temple is visited by more devotees
from these communities than it is by Indians who are a miniscule minority in the Vietnam.
May Mata Mariamman of Ho Chi Minh City bless us all with intelligence, abundance and health!
