Devi Sri Lalita Tripura Sundari of Italy

Tempio di Sri Lalita Tripurasundari

The Svami Gitananda Ashram, near Savoy, Italy is built by Svamiji Yogananda Giri, a Hindu sanyasi of Italian descent, on a five-acre property dedicated to the adoration of the Divine Mother Sri Lalita Tripura Sundari. Devotees from Italy, India, Sir Lanka and Mauritus congregate on days that are special to the goddess to attend shakti puja (Hindu ritual per the shakta tradition) during which sukta stotram, bhajan and kirtans are sung.

The revered Svami is the only sanyasi disciple of the revered scholar and great Siddha Dr. Svami Gitananda Giri, a master of Siddha, Tantra and Agamas in South India. The sangat at the ashram in growing in size as the temple attracts more devotees and an increasing number of Italian devotees take vows of sanyas.
