It is believed that Lord Rama meditated at the Hinglaj Mata
Shakti Peeth in present day Balochistan, Pakistan, to atone for his sin of Brahmhatya
- the killing of Ravana, a Brahmin and a worshipper of Lord Shiva and Goddess
Durga.
Hinglaj Mata Mandir is one of the great Shakti Peethas
recognised by our shastras dedicated to Devi Maa. Hinglaaj Mata is revered by
people of all faiths in Pakistan and the annual event is described as Nani Ka
Haj by the local Muslims.
May Mata Hinglaj, the refuge of Lord Ram, shower us with her
mercy.
