Janmashtami
Mamtamai Shri Radhe Guru Maa Charitable Trust celebrates Janmashtami week |
God is the ultimate source of joy or ananda. And Krishna, the
apple of Yashoda’s eyes, is the ananda in person manifesting in a physical form
to delight his devotees. He is the all-attractive one, the one whose form
captivates even Madan, the God of Love, and who is therefore known as
Madan-Mohan. Janmashtami marks the Lord’s appearance on Earth to transact the
sweet business of transcendental love that is only known those who chose the
Lord are in turn chosen by him.
All other forms of Krishna, the reservoir of love, receive our
prayers and grant wishes of devotees. Krishna as child, Balamukunda, however,
manifests to allow us to express our endless love for him. In bathing the image
of Laddu-Gopala, in talking to him, in feeding him delicacies and singing him
to sleep, the devotee experiences transcendental bliss.
May our Guru Mamtamai Shri Radhe Guru Maa bless us with the desire
for the lotus feet of Shri Krishna, the never-failing refuge of his
devotees.
